How do I contact you?

Our official email address is support (at) motionvfx.com.

I can't place the order using my Credit Card. What's wrong?

◦ If you are declined multiple times in the same purchase session, you will be blocked from ordering as a security feature. Although you may attempt to use different cards if the purchase session has been blocked you will receive an Authorization Failed: Authorization Failed error message. In most cases where multiple cards are used and this error message is received the issuing bank for the cards used after this error is first received may not even see the attempts to order. You will need to either clear the cookies in your browser and attempt to place the order, or you may wait 30 minutes for the purchase session to expire.

If you receive an Authorization Failed: Do Not Honor error message, the error is most likely related to the charge appearing as an international transaction to the issuing bank for the card. In these instances, you should contact your bank to advise you are attempting to place the order and to allow the charge to be processed. You may also need to clear the cookies in your browser to begin a new purchase session.

If you receive an Authorization Failed: Authentication Failed error message, the error is most likely received because the authorization requires Verified by Visa or MasterCard secure code authentication. In most cases the bank cannot even see the authorization attempt unless it passes this authentication. To resolve this you should ensure that you are being sent to a page on your bank's server (if not it is most likely a popup blocker issue) and then ensuring that you signup for the service (VBV or MCSC). If a page is not loading and you are not using a popup blocker then the issue is most likely a session locking issue and you should either wait 30 minutes or clear your cookies and restart your browser so that a new purchase session is used when you replace the order. If you are still unable to load the VBV or MCSC page please contact 2Checkout with the VBV or MCSC url that is shown in your browser so that 2Checkout may bypass that page.

The downloaded ZIP file is corrupted!

We test all of our files before releasing so there's very little chance that the source ZIP is corrupted. Please try re-downloading it from your Order history page and, since Mac OS X often has problems with unzipping files (even the ones created by itself), we recommend that you use some third-party extracting software (such as The Unarchiver which is free and available at the App Store).

If you experience problems with completing the download, be sure to use some kind of download resumer (for example iGetter or any other free downloader from the App Store), this way your files should be downloaded properly.

I changed my mind, can you give me a refund?

All of our products are provided as downloadable content and therefore all transactions are final and non-refundable.

Why are your templates so expensive?

They are not that expensive if you think about it. Please consider what you get:

  1. It's not just one template, the majority of them are Motion 5 Template SETS - Project, Lower 3rd, Title and Transition (sometimes a Generator and Effect as well) so you get 4 templates instead of 1.
  2. We sometimes use PremiumBeat music for presentation purposes but often include our own audio (see the template's Description tab for more info).
  3. Our templates are fully editable, no pre-rendered projects here (except for footage-based templates [for example #632] or projects like Motion template #480 [which is based on a Cinema4D scene and therefore would be impossible to recreate in Motion]).
  4. We test all of our templates in FCP so that you don't experience any problems. Many of them are modified several times so that Final Cut can handle them.
  5. Our competition is far behind us when it comes to quality. As a matter of fact they literally steal from us... even our stuff from over a year ago. We try to move forward with every new project.
  6. All of our Motion 5 template sets have their main settings (Drop Zones, texts etc) published. This not only allows you to edit them in FCPX but also simplifies this process in Motion.

Your site doesn't work properly, who do I have to contact about it?

You can always contact us at support@motionvfx.com. We reply to all e-mails so if you don't receive a response from us, please check if your mailbox doesn't block or treat our messages as SPAM.

How can I subscribe/unsubscribe from your Newsletter?

Both actions can be done via the Newsletter page. Please note that to successfully unsubscribe, you need to click on the blue "CONFIRMATION LINK" from the e-mail we send you after typing in your address on the mentioned page:

http://www.motionvfx.com/tutorials/blog/faq/

The download is really slow, are there any problems with your server?

We have a high-end server with a 500Mbit line (with peaks reaching 1Gbit) so there's plenty of room for downloading. You could trace your route to locate the bottlenecks (for example using MTR). There are three possible explanations, depending on the trace results:

  1. Packets are being lost near your location - make sure nothing is blocking our website. If you're using Growl, disable it as it can affect the transfer speeds drastically,
  2. Packets are being lost or ping is going up somewhere in the middle of the route - there may be some maintenance works along the way and your route is being redirected via a longer/slower path. For more info contact your Internet Service Provider,
  3. Packets are being lost or ping is going up on our end - let us know at support@motionvfx.com, we'll check it out.

Are there any promotional codes available? If yes, where can I find them and how do I use them?

Every once in a while we provide a promotional code which helps our customers save money. They are usually provided in our Newsletter but often can be found on our Twitter or Facebook. Just type it into the "PROMO CODE" field during Checkout and hit Enter. A proper amount will be automatically deducted from your final price.

I forgot my login/password, is there a way to retrieve it?

Of course, just use the "Forgot your password?" page. Once you type in your e-mail address (provided during the registration process) and hit Send, our system will dispatch you an automated response containing your login as well as a link allowing you to reset your password. If you don't receive it, simply add our domain to your mailbox's white list and repeat the recovery process. This way everything should be fine.

Why does the invoice have different info than what I typed in during Checkout? Can you change it for me?

The invoices are generated automatically based on the info provided during the registration process at motionVFX.com, NOT at 2checkout.com (when making the payment after checking out at motionVFX.com).
Both our store and fiscal systems are connected together and fully automated, because of this we are not able to change anything once the transaction is completed. You can change your info for your future purchases though, to do this simply go to your Account page, click on the "Edit details" (cogwheel) button, fill the desired fields and hit save. Once completed, all of your new invoices will contain the correct info.

I need an invoice for the purchased products, where can I find it?

The fact that you own an account at our website also means that you have access to your whole Order history which contains links to the invoices in PDF format. To find them just log in at our website, go to your Order History page and you'll find them next to the desired Order ID:

http://www.motionvfx.com/tutorials/blog/faq/

I didn't receive the download link, can you resend it?

The e-mails are being sent automatically and we have never experienced a case, in which a message wasn't sent because of some system error. That being said, every once in a while they can get "lost" along the way, so please check if your mailbox doesn't block or treat our messages as SPAM. Add our domain (www.motionVFX.com) to your white list and note that you can also download all of your purchased products by going to your Order History page and clicking on the blue arrow next to the desired order:

http://www.motionvfx.com/tutorials/blog/faq/

What kind of payment methods do you support?

All of our transactions are being handled by a third-party checkout gate - 2checkout.com. You can check which payment methods they (and therefore we) support on their FAQ page.

Why do you charge VAT and why is it so high?

VAT only applies to our customers located within the European Union, who don't own an EU-registered VAT number (you can validate it here). If you have one then just go to your Account page click on the "Edit details" cogwheel and type it in along with your company name in the "Company data" section at the bottom (both fields have to be filled). Be sure NOT to include the country-specific prefix (GB/FR/AU), just the part after that. This will do the trick.

Even though VAT varies depending on where you're located, our company is situated in Poland and we have to charge the amount established by the Polish government, right now it's 23%.

After purchasing a product, I see a "Waiting for fraud review" info. What does it mean?

Before you'll receive your download link, your order needs to be verified. For the security reasons and to keep our customers safe, we adopted the online fraud review/checking system, so after you place your order and pay for it, the system will be busy checking the fraud status of your payment. Please be patient. It's an automatic system and usually it takes around 10 minutes, but in some cases it may take up to few hours if your payment needs to be verified manually (sometimes it happens for some customers located in Asia).

Please remember that some payments need to be accepted manually and the fraud department is not open 24 hours a day. There is no coverage from 1:30 am-7:00 am EST. Any orders that need to be manually reviewed that come during that time will not be reviewed until a representative comes in.

Do I need some special application to be able to use your products?

It depends on which products you have in mind. Our store has different sections for each series of products:

  1. Motion 5 templates can be used in both Apple Motion 5 and Final Cut Pro X,
  2. Motion 4 templates can be used in both Apple Motion 4 and Final Cut Pro 7,
  3. Motion 3 templates can be used in both Apple Motion 3 and Final Cut Pro 6,
  4. After Effects templates can be used in Adobe After Effects CS4 or higher. If you own the full Production Premium package then you can also use them in Premiere Pro via Dynamic Link,
  5. Cinema 4D templates can be used in Maxon Cinema 4D R11.5 but often utilize additional modules, all of which are included in the Studio version (for more info check the template's Description tab),
  6. Stock footage/elements are simple videos which you can use in an editing/compositing application of your choice (make sure it supports Blending/Composite Modes as it is required by some of them [for example mLeaks, mBurns etc]),
  7. Plugins and Packs often support multiple applications, for more info please refer to the PLUGINS section of this FAQ.

Where can I find a Software License?

Below you can find a License Agreement which applies for all MotionVFX plugins.

Can you provide a link to a project, which will fit my needs?

Unfortunately we don't have time to browse through all of our products looking for specific projects. We do our best to give them as many accurate tags as possible so that you can find them using our Search engine.

Do you accept custom jobs?

Not at this point. We try to evolve as much as we can and that keeps our hands full most of the time.

I've purchased a wrong product, can I swap it for a different one or receive a refund?

All of our products are provided as downloadable content and therefore all transactions are final and non-refundable. That being said, there are cases in which we can make an exception, so if there's a solid reason, feel free to contact us at support@motionvfx.com

Why do I have to update to the latest version?

Apple constantly works on improving their software. This often requires changing a lot of stuff and therefore some of it becomes incompatible with the earlier builds. That's why we recommend that you always stay up-to-date.

Motion crashes when using your product, what do I do?

There are several things that you can do to improve the app's stability:

1. Make sure that it is up-to-date. The updates are free and available via App Store,
2. Try re-downloading it from your Order history page because the downloaded .zip file may be corrupted.
3. Render it out without any footage. If it goes through without a problem then your footage (format/codec) may be the cause of your problem.
4. Trash Motion's preference files:
  - make sure Motion isn't running in the background,
  - go to your /Users/user_name/Library/Preferences folder (it is hidden but you can find it by opening Finder, going up to its Go menu and holding Alt - a new link to the "user" Library catalog will show up),
  - find and delete the following files (be sure to back them up first):
    a) Motion 4 - com.apple.motion.plist and com.apple.motion.plist.lockfile,
    b) Motion 5 - com.apple.motionapp.plist and com.apple.motionapp.plist.lockfile as well as com.apple.motionapp.LSSharedFileList.plist and com.apple.motionapp.LSSharedFileList.plist.lockfile,

http://www.motionvfx.com/tutorials/blog/faq/Motion_Prefs.png

  - run the app,
5. If you're using any external drives, try working on your internal HDD/SSD instead. This will also improve the template's overall performance.
6. Copy the project's content to a completely new one.
7. Set your final Render settings in the upper-right corner of the UI and select "Use Canvas Setting" for each setting during export.
8. Try creating a fresh administrator's account (System Preferences -> Users & Groups -> "+") and check if it works properly there. This way you'll know if it's a system/user preference-related problem.

Why don't you create templates for Motion 4 anymore?

Even though Motion 5 still has its glitches, it is still much more powerful than its predecessor. Some of our latest templates could be recreated in Motion 4 but in many cases they would be unusable due to performance issues (and, in some cases, missing elements - filters etc). A lot of our customers still work with Motion 4/FCP7 but also bought Motion 5 (which costs only $50!!). This way they didn't lose their Motion<->FCP link and have the ability to open, edit and export Motion 5 templates as (for example) .mov files, which can afterwards be imported into FCP7.

Do you produce any Motion tutorials or do you know where can I learn Apple Motion ?

To be honest, we are too busy creating our Apple Motion Templates, so we recommend that you should use our firend's, Mark Spencer tutorials, who's one of the best Motion instructors our there.

Final Cut crashes when using your product, how can I fix it?

There are several things that you can do to improve the app's stability:

  1. Make sure that it is up-to-date. The updates are free and available via App Store.
  2. Try re-downloading the problematic template from your Order history page, because the downloaded .zip file may be corrupted.
  3. Render it out without any footage. If it goes through without a problem then your footage (format/codec) may be causing your issues.
  4. Trash Final Cut's preference files

  6. Try creating a fresh administrator's account (System Preferences -> Users & Groups -> "+") and check if it works properly there. This way you'll know if it's a system/user preference-related problem.

If you own Motion, here are some additional steps you can take.

Templates

How do I install the included fonts?

Simply open them using Font Book.app (you can find it in your Applications folder) and hit Install.

Please note that since OSX Lion, Apple has included a more advanced font verification system. Because of this Font Book may display some issues with fonts, which were previously OK. This doesn't always mean that the font is unusable, in general if there are no errors (just one-two warnings), there shouldn't be any problems with installing it.

Can I use a Motion 5 template in Motion 4 or Final Cut Pro 7?

Motion 5 templates are not backwards compatible and therefore you won't be able to open them in Motion 4 or FCP7. But many of our clients also work with these apps, they just bought Motion 5 (which costs only $50!) and use it next to them (it doesn't overwrite your old Motion, just make sure they have unique names). Simply open a template -> edit what you want -> export to a low-compression mov (or a lossless image sequence), import to FCP7 and voila! Sure, it's not the same as dropping the templates directly into Final Cut but our projects became a lot better and therefore heavier, which means they couldn't be recreated in Motion 4, mainly due to it's lower performance.

Why don't you have a separate tutorial for each project?

There is no real solution to this because every project is completely different and there is no way of making an universal tutorial for adapting, retiming, looping etc. We'd have to make a new one every time a fresh template comes out and we simply don't have time for that. We do our best to deliver best and most customizable templates out there and provide everything necessary for editing our projects:

  1. For customers who don't really know Motion we publish the most commonly used parameters so that they are easily editable in both Motion and FCPX.
  2. For advanced users we keep everything tidy so that they could easily find everything within the scene and optimize our projects to avoid affecting customers' workflow in a negative way.

We assume that each client applies to one of these groups and, since we are not a Motion/Final Cut Pro X training company, we can't help them transition from a novice to a pro, they need to learn these apps themselves.

Which elements are pre-rendered?

Basically all of our templates are fully editable though they can contain some pre-rendered elements such as keyed hands (Project_485), smoke, explosions (Project_616) etc. with an exception of footage-based templates (for example #632) or projects like Motion template #480 (which is based on a Cinema 4D scene and therefore would be impossible to recreate in Motion). Other than that we avoid using pre-rendered elements, mainly because we want to give our clients the highest level of editability.

There is no music in the downloaded template, can you send it to me?

We have a lot of projects with our own audio but often use Stockeon or PremiumBeat music for presentation purposes. In both cases we include additional info on the project's description:

1. Audio track is included - you can see a "Yes" next to the note icon:

http://www.motionvfx.com/tutorials/blog/faq/

2. Audio track from Stockeon.com or PremiumBeat.com was used and is not included in the package - you can see a  "Royalty free music by..." statement next to the note icon. It is also a clickable link which will redirect you to the proper Stockeon/PremiumBeat page:

http://www.motionvfx.com/tutorials/blog/faq/

There are no fonts in the downloaded ZIP file.

This usually happens with corrupted archives so please try re-downloading it from your Order history page and use some third-party extracting software (such as The Unarchiver which is free and available at the App Store) as Mac OS X Lion often has problems with unzipping files, even the ones created by itself.

We do our best to attach everything you need to run our projects but if such a situation occurs, let us know at support@motionvfx.com

The downloaded project has missing elements, why?

There are several different reasons that can cause this warning to occur:
1. Free templates - [Missing Generator/Filter] - our free mFlare/mGlitch templates are meant to show the power of our plugins so you need to have them installed when running these projects. You can get them from our mPlugs page.

http://www.motionvfx.com/tutorials/blog/faq/

2. Paid templates - [Missing Generator: mFlare] - our templates often ship in two versions: one based on our mFlare plugin and one with these effects pre-rendered. If you don't own this plugin, all you need to do is run the file WITHOUT the "_mFlare" suffix and it will work OK. If you really want to edit the flares, you can try it out by downloading the demo version.

3. Missing Font - all of our projects that use third-party fonts have them attached inside the zipped package. Simply go to the Font(s) folder, open them up with Font Book.app, install and restart the app.

http://www.motionvfx.com/tutorials/blog/faq/

4. Missing Media - make sure that the Media folder is in the same place as the project file, otherwise the app won't be able to find them and will display this warning:

http://www.motionvfx.com/tutorials/blog/faq/

5. Red "Missing Media" screen in Finder - the preview, to which we were used to when using Motion 4 is not available at this point. It relies on QuickTime components and since Motion 5 is a 64bit app and QT is still 32bit, the previews don't work for Motion 5 projects.

How can I download free templates?

Just add them to your cart and go through Checkout. After a while you'll receive an e-mail stating that the transaction is complete and the products are ready for download (if not, please check if your mailbox doesn't block or treat our messages as spam). You can do it either by clicking on the links included in this message or via your Order history page.

I bought your templates and all I get is some HTML code when I'm trying to download them.

It happens when your browser tries to open the file instead of saving it. You can either change your browser settings or right click on the link and choose "Download Linked File" - Safari will automatically save it into your Downloads folder.

How to install Motion 5 Templates so I could use them in Motion 5 and FCPX?

I get "Error 22 - Invalid argument" error while trying to unarchive .zip file

If you experience unarchiving problems with any of our ZIP files and you receive following error during the unarchive process

How can I export a Lower3rd on a transparent background?

If you own our mFlare plugin and a template has an mFlare-based version included then you can simply use its "Generate Alpha" feature.

If you don't have mFlare installed or a template doesn't have an mFlare-based version, you may see that, after disabling the background Placeholder, some lens flare effects are being shown on a black background. This is happens because they have been pre-rendered for all customers who don't own our plugin and still wish to use our templates. There are two workarounds for this though:

Method I:

  1. Find the lens flare element in the scene.
  2. Duplicate it in the same group.
  3. Create a mask on original lens flare element (right click on it and choose Add Image Mask).
  4. Drop the duplicated element on your newly created mask.
  5. Select the Image Mask and in its Mask Options change Source Channel from Alpha to Luminance.

You have to do the same thing for all other pre-rendered elements. That will fix your issue with the Alpha Channel.

Method II:

  1. Find all lens flare elements in the scene and disable them.
  2. Export the project to ProRes 444 with Alpha Channel embedded.
  3. Go back and disable everything EXCEPT the lens flare elements.
  4. Export the project to ProRes 422, H264 or whichever format fits you best (you don't need Alpha Channel for that).

You will end up with two video files: one containing the Lower3rd on a transparent background and one with just the lens flare effects. You can now drop the first one to the editing app of your choice and put the latter MOV above it while changing its Blend/Composite Mode to Screen or Add.

The difference between these two methods is that the first one may clip some of the flare's gradients but keeps everything in a single video file. The second one on the other hand produces exactly the same results as seen in in Motion/demo video but may be a bit more problematic because it's two clips per project. Both should work fine in most cases so pick the one you feel is best for your needs.

When I try running one of your projects, Motion tells me that I need version 5.2 or 5.5. This version doesn't exist yet, what gives?

Apple uses two XML tags to describe a project's version - "ozml version" and "displayversion". Even though the latter one is always correct (5.0.2, 5.0.6, 5.0.7 etc), Motion reads the ozml version (5.2, 5.5) when checking the required build. Because of this it "thinks" that you need Motion 5.5 instead of 5.0.7 (for example). The solution is easy - simply update Motion to the latest build via App Store (the updates are free) and everything will be fine.

Your project runs very slow on my system, what can I do to speed up the editing process/workflow?

Please remember that almost no FullHD (1920x1080) project, especially a 3D one, will work in real-time. Apple's Helium renderer relies heavily on the CPU, RAM, graphics card as well as your HDD speed so if you're working on a lower-end system, it might not perform as well as expected. There are a few things you can do to improve your workflow though:

  1. Make sure that your app is up-to-date. Apple constantly improves their software, also regarding their performance.
  2. Trash Motion's preference files (you can find out how to do it in the following section of this FAQ under "4. Trash Motion's preference files").
  3. Don't store Motion templates on an external/network drive. It can drastically reduce the project's overall performance.
  4. Use RAM Preview (CMD+R). It will render a portion of your timeline so that you can preview it in real-time. Motion stores a lot of preview data so it's good to flush its memory every once in a while (Mark -> RAM Preview -> Clear RAM Preview).
  5. Make sure your photos are 1920x1080 or smaller.
  6. Use ProRes when possible. It can render up to 4x faster compared to H264.
  7. Disable Motion Blur/Reflections/Lighting/Depth of Field, at least during editing (you can access them via Render rollout menu in the upper right corner of the interface). You can turn them back on during export.
  8. Avoid setting the render quality to Best. Normal works fine in most cases.

After dropping a clip with audio onto a Drop Zone, the sound starts at the beginning of the project, is there a way to fix this?

This is a common Motion bug. To go around it simply go up to the Audio tab and click on the little chain icon next to the problematic track. This way you'll unlink it from the Drop Zone layer and therefore be able to move it to the proper place on your audio timeline (to bring it up click on the speaker icon in the lower-right corner of the interface.

How do I export a Lower 3rd with transparent background?

The key is to find which layers don't generate proper Alpha Channel (for example have some Blend Mode applied) and turn them off:

  1. The flare effects are usually pre-rendered and set to Add/Screen (unless you're working on an mFlare-based project - in this case just turn on its Generate Alpha feature).
  2. Every fullscreen overlays such as burns, scratches, dusts etc.
  3. You won't need the background Drop Zone (Placeholder) at all so just delete it.

Once you have a "clean" lower 3rd, export it to ProRes 4444 (or a TIFF/TGA/PNG image sequence) with Alpha Channel. Now go back to the project and export just the missing elements (flares, scratches - everything except the BG Drop Zone) one by one.
After that you'll end up with all of the lower 3rd's components, which you can put together in your target application. Be sure to change their Blend Modes so that they match the original project, this way everything will be OK.

How can I scale/reposition a Drop Zone's content?

There are two ways of doing this:

1. Select the desired Drop Zone, go to Inspector -> Image tab and play with the Scale and Pan settings:

http://www.motionvfx.com/tutorials/blog/faq/Frame_Drop_Zone.png

2. Use Motion's Tile filter which also gives you the possibility to rotate and skew your footage. You can learn how to use it in the following tutorial.

I have a lot of your templates and it's getting hard to recognize which is which. Is there anything I can do about it?

If you open a project in Motion, you'll be able to publish it as template (File -> Publish as Template). After doing this, Motion will automatically copy the project to your /Users/user_name/Movies/.../ folder as well as generate thumbnails based on your current frame. This way, when using Motion's Project Browser, you'll see their thumbnails instead of the default project icon.

http://www.motionvfx.com/tutorials/blog/faq/Thumbnails_Before.png

http://www.motionvfx.com/tutorials/blog/faq/Thumbnails_After.png

How can I change a project's resolution?

Changing the project's resolution (CMD+J) doesn't scale the whole scene, instead it crops the camera's field of view. The easiest way to change the resolution is to render the whole template in its native resolution to a lossless image sequence (TIFF/TGA..), import it back to a new project with your target resolution set and scale it down so that it fits inside the scene. After that you can export it to whichever format you like.

How can I change a project's frame rate?

There's only one place, which allows you to set the project's frame rate - while creating a new project. After that you won't be able to change it directly in the project properties (CMD+J). Fortunately, there are a few workarounds, which can help you adjust the frame rate once the project is completed:

  1. Use our free mFPSconverter.
  2. Export the whole thing to an image sequence and import back as [your-target-frame-rate] footage.
  3. Use the method described in the following tutorial (Motion 5 can open multiple projects at the same time so it's applicable there as well).
  4. Use the template in Final Cut Pro X, this way it will automatically adapt it to your timeline's frame rate.

With these options available and the fact that 24p gives our projects a more "film-like" look, we decided to make them all this way.

How can I change a project's duration or slow down/speed up a specific part of the scene?

To change the timing of a specific element in the project you can make use of the Transform Keyframes Tool located in the Keyframe Editor:

http://www.motionvfx.com/tutorials/blog/faq/Motion_5_Transform_Keyframes_Tool.png

It allows you to draw a rectangle over the desired keyframes, which can then be modified by dragging it's handles - shrinking speeds its content up, stretching slows it down. Combine it with lengthening/shortening the affected layers and you've got all you need to retime a project the way you like.
Modifying the core project elements can be tricky and may require some solid knowledge of Motion so please keep that in mind while trying to achieve the desired effect.

There's a far simpler way to retime the whole template using Apple Final Cut Pro X.

I want to change some settings but they are not on your list of published elements. What's the fastest way to do this?

Motion has a few features which can help you find what you're looking for:

1. Let's say you have already edited some texts in the Project -> Inspector -> Publishing tab but you wish to change some additional details (tracking etc). Simply right-click on the published element's name and chose "Reveal Original Parameter". Motion will automatically select the source text layer and highlight the parameter you were looking at. This works for all published parameters.

http://www.motionvfx.com/tutorials/blog/faq/Reveal_Original_Parameter.png

2. You need to find a specific element within the scene, for example a Drop Zone. The fastest way to do this is to use the Search tool located right below the Layer Browser. Simply type in the word(s) you're looking for and Motion will automatically filter out the rest.

http://www.motionvfx.com/tutorials/blog/faq/Screen Shot 2013-05-09 at 3.48.51 PM.png

After opening a template I see a bunch of stuff, how do I edit the basic elements without going into the advanced elements?

The easiest way to edit our templates in Motion 5 is to select the Project layer inside the Layer Browser and go to Inspector -> Project -> Publishing. You'll find a whole list of most commonly used parameters which we have gathered for you there.

Replacing the Drop Zones is as easy as dragging-and-dropping your footage directly onto the desired Drop Zone. If Motion replaces some other one instead, go ahead and import the media files (photos, videos) that you'll be dropping onto the Drop Zones. After that once again select the Project layer, go to Inspector -> Project -> Publishing and click on the "To" rollout next to the desired Drop Zone and pick your imported clip from the list.

http://www.motionvfx.com/tutorials/blog/faq/DropZone_Import_Media_Small.png

You can also find the Drop Zone layers within the Layers browser via its Search tool (little magnifying glass right below it). Simply type in "Drop" or "Drop Zone" and it will filter out everything else. This way you'll be able to drop your footage from the File Browser directly onto their layers.

How do I install your products and where can I find them in Motion 3/4/5?

Motion 5 templates' workflow for Motion 5 has been covered by Szymon in his tutorial on installing and using our Motion 5 templates.

In general, all you need to do is move the extracted folders to their respective locations:

  • Lower3rd folder  -> /Movies/Motion Templates/Titles/motionVFX/
  • Project folder  -> /Movies/Motion Templates/Generators/motionVFX/
  • Title folder  -> /Movies/Motion Templates/Titles/motionVFX/
  • Transition folder  -> /Movies/Motion Templates/Transitions/motionVFX/
  • Effect folder  -> /Movies/Motion Templates/Effects/motionVFX/

After that you can access them via Motion's Project Browser:

http://www.motionvfx.com/tutorials/blog/faq/mCredits_01_Add_To_Cart_Login.png

You can also just double-click on a project file and Motion will start automatically. Motion 4 and Motion 3 templates share a similar workflow - open the purchased project in Motion by double-clicking on it (or via File -> Open menu), make your edits there and/or publish as Template and use it directly inside Final Cut Pro.

Will all motionVFX's Motion Templates work with Motion 5?

Yes. We're happy to announce that all our Motion Templates work great in Motion 5. Even more, they look more beautiful thanks to Apple's new color gamma!

How can I convert Motion HD Template into any other resolution or SD project?

Please check our Tutorials section to find out how to do it: http://www.motionvfx.com/mtuts.html

Can I open Motion 4 Template in Motion 3? (Tip by: Mark Spencer)

Yes, you can open a Motion 4 project in Motion 3.

1) Launch TextEdit

2) Choose File > Open, navigate to the Motion 4 project file, and open it. It opens in TextEdit and looks like this:

3) On the third line, where it says , change the 4 to a 3.

4) Save.  That’s it! Your Motion 4 project will now open in Motion 3.

Of course, any Motion 4 features, such as reflections, shadows, depth of field, or new behaviors WON'T work, but all Motion 3 features should work fine. (motionVFX): Remember, that all Gradients used in such project converted back to Motion 3 will NOT work as well. We CANNOT guarantee that above method will work with every template and we will NOT refund the order if it wont, so please proceed on your own risk.

I have Motion 4 and I get an error: "The document "filename" could not be opened.". What??

This is well known problem discussed here: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3061

When trying to use a project on my timeline, FCPX shows a red "Missing Media" image or a blue screen. Why?

The red "Missing media" screen (as well as the old "blue screen") is usually caused by an outdated FCPX version. Please update it to the latest one via App Store (the updates are free) and everything will be fine.

Your project runs very slow on my system, is there something I can do to speed it up?

Final Cut Pro X doesn't provide any tools for changing a template's resolution, quality or temporarily disabling Reflections, Lighting etc. - these can be changed via Motion. That being said, you could trash its preference and render files as they tend to affect the app's performance and stability. To delete the preferences you need to:
    1. make sure FCPX is not running in the background,
    2. go to your /Users/user_name/Library/Preferences folder (it is hidden but you can find it by opening Finder, going up to its Go menu and holding Alt - a new link to the "user" Library catalog will show up)
    3. find and delete the following files (be sure to back them up first):
        a) FCPX - com.apple.FinalCut.plist and com.apple.FinalCut.LSSharedFileList.plist
        b) FCP7 - com.apple.FinalCutPro.plist as well as Final Cut Pro 7.0 Prefs.fcset, Final Cut Pro Obj Cache.fcmch and Final Cut Pro Prof Cache.fcpch from the Final Cut Pro User Data folder.

http://www.motionvfx.com/tutorials/blog/faq/Motion_Prefs.png

Render Files can be deleted directly inside Final Cut Pro X - select the desired project and go to File -> "Delete Project Render Files…". You can do the same for the Events if needed - select one and go up to File -> "Delete Event Render Files…". Repeat this process for every project and event that gives you problems.

After applying my clips to a template's Drop Zones, some of them only display a still frame or are offset in time, why?

Since version 10.0.6, Apple has changed the way Drop Zones work.

Before the update, all you needed to do was pick the target Drop Zone, then choose your footage from the Event Browser and hit Apply Clip. It would then be placed starting exactly where the Drop Zone layer starts.

Right now FCPX "looks" at where your Timeline as well as the Event Browser playheads are and synchronizes them in this exact point in time (frame). So to replace the Drop Zones correctly you need to place the Timeline playhead where you want to see the specific part (frame) of your footage, go to your Event Browser, select the desired clip and leave its playhead where you want it to be synchronized with your timeline playhead (otherwise your clips might have already ended and therefore appear as stills - their last frame). After that just click on the Apply Clip button and everything should be OK.

Final Cut Pro 10.1+ UPDATE:

Apple has changed the Drop Zone replacement method a bit. It doesn't synchronize your Timeline and Even Browser playheads anymore. Instead, it allows you to pick the Drop Zone layer's In-frame. If your clip is too short, you may experience some issues (usually a still frame instead of playing your video) but there's a pretty quick workaround that allows you to fill your Drop Zones properly:

1) place a template on your Timeline,
2) drop your short clip there as well (it doesn't matter where, you're still going to delete it),
3) right-click on it and pick "New Compound Clip..." (Alt+G),
4) type in a proper name (for example "Clip_1_Extended"), pick the same Event as your original clip's and hit OK,
5) right-click on the newly created Compound Clip and pick "Open in Timeline",
6) once you're inside the Compound Clip, select your source clip, press CMD+C (copy), go to the Compound Clip's last frame (Down arrow) and press CMD+V (paste) several times - 1-2 minutes should be more than enough,
7) click on the little "back" arrow in the upper-left part of Final Cut's Timeline to go back to your main project,
8) delete the Compound Clip from your Timeline (it should still be visible in the Event you saved it to),
9) make sure that your Event Browser is set to "Filmstrip View",
10) find the Drop Zone you wish to fill (place your Timeline head so that it's visible in the viewport),
11) click on the Drop Zone's source (inside the Inspector) - it will turn blue and a "Selecting source clip" text will show up next to it,
12) now go to your Event Browser and click somewhere inside your new Compound Clip (a change in your Drop Zone should occur, if not, you may need to extend it a bit more by copying and pasting it's content a couple more times),
13) move your mouse cursor left/right and keep clicking (not too fast or you'll open it up instead of selecting) until you can see the desired frame in the viewport,
14) click on the blue Apply Clip below the viewport to apply your changes.

It seems a bit complicated but it's really easy (and obvious) once you actually do it.

All of your templates are in 24p and my project is based on different frame rate, how can I change it?

Final Cut Pro X automatically adapts a template's frame rate based on your Timeline settings so you don't have to worry about it.

How can I slow down or speed up a project on my Timeline?

Simply grab the project's In/Out point, drag it to increase or decrease its overall length (and therefore speed) and Final Cut will automatically adjust the project's content. Note that extending a template which includes one or more pre-rendered elements (keyed hands, video-based projects) may result in image stuttering so be sure not to overdo it (try using Optical Flow option for better results).

After dropping a template on my timeline, how do I edit its content?

The full Motion 5 template workflow for Final Cut Pro X has been covered by Szymon in the following tutorial (the FCPX part starts at 11:45).

In general, all you need to do is select it on your Timeline and go to the Inspector. Depending on a type of the project, there will be a special tab (called Generator, Title, Transition or Effect) containing all of the published elements. You can change the texts as well as apply your own footage there.

Here's an update on replacing Drop Zones in Final Cut Pro X version 10.0.6 and up:

How do I install your templates and where can I find them in Final Cut Pro X?

The full Motion 5 template workflow for Final Cut Pro X has been covered by Szymon in the following tutorial (the FCPX part starts at 11:45).

In general, all you need to do is move the extracted folders to their respective locations:

  • Lower3rd folder  -> /Movies/Motion Templates/Titles/motionVFX/
  • Project folder  -> /Movies/Motion Templates/Generators/motionVFX/
  • Title folder  -> /Movies/Motion Templates/Titles/motionVFX/
  • Transition folder  -> /Movies/Motion Templates/Transitions/motionVFX/
  • Effect folder  -> /Movies/Motion Templates/Effects/motionVFX/

After that they will become available in Final Cut's Effect/Generator/Title/Transition Browsers (motionVFX group).

How to publish Motion 4 Templates so I could use them in FCPX?

Watch this great video tutorial created by Mark Spencer

After placing the template into FCPX all I can see is a BLUE SCREEN. What's wrong?

This is an old FCPX error related to it's earlier builds. Please update to the latest version and everything will be OK.

After opening one of your templates, I'm not able to import some media formats, how can I fix this?

This issue occurs mainly in PC versions of After Effects. When opening a project created in an older version, be sure to re-save it, this way AE should work fine.

How can I change a project's resolution?

Changing the composition's resolution (CMD+K [Mac], Ctrl+K [PC]) doesn't scale its content, instead it crops the camera's field of view. So the easiest way to change the end resolution is to drop it into a new comp with proper dimensions and scale it down.

You can also use the Resize option located in the Output Module Settings window.

How can I change a project's duration or slow down/speed up a specific part of the scene?

You could go through the whole template and adjust the layers' length etc but it could take a lot of time. Instead, drop the whole composition into a new one and increase its duration (right-click -> Time -> Time Stretch…). After Effects should interpolate the additional frames correctly but note that overdoing it can cause the footage-based elements (for example keyed hands) to stutter.

How can I use your After Effects templates in Premiere Pro?

In theory, you can export a Premiere Pro project from After Effects but it will only utilize features available in PPro so in most cases the whole project will be messed up. If you own a Production Premium package, you can make use of Adobe's Dynamic Link which "streams" data between different apps:

  1. In Premiere Pro, create an empty Title and put it on your timeline. It's good to leave it a bit longer than the template itself, you can fix/trim it later on.
  2. Right-click on it and pick "Replace with After Effects Composition", AE will launch automatically.
  3. Save it wherever you want once asked - at this point you'll have a composition with a single Title layer ("exported" from PPro).
  4. Turn off the empty Title layer and import the desired template via the Project Browser.
  5. Drag the template's main composition into your comp.
  6. Save the linked AE project and go back to Premiere Pro. After a moment the template will show up on the app's Viewer.

Here's a simple example using one of our free AE templates:

Note that you'll only be able to edit the template's content in After Effects as Premiere doesn't have access to linked composition's elements.

How do I edit a template's content?

Changing the texts is pretty straight forward (double-click on their layers and type in your own text) but replacing the Drop Zones may be confusing at first so if you don't know how to do it, check out this tutorial.

Another helpful trait of our templates is the colouring of the layers. Every composition that contains sub-compositions is colored specifically for the type of the elements it contains. Compositions that are tagged blue lead to the Drop Zones and the ones that are tagged yellow will take you to the editable text layer. Grey layers contain only shapes and media elements. Camera movement layers and main composition are tagged red and the source Drop Zone layers (the ones that are substituted with footage) have a lavender tag.

How do I install your products and where can I find them in After Effects?

After Effects templates don't need to be installed anywhere, just copy them where you keep your project files (be sure not to leave/move the Media folder anywhere, it needs to be in the same directory as the project file) and open it up by double-clicking it or using AE's File -> Open menu.

Can our After Effects CS4 Templates be used in After Effects CS3 or earlier?

No. After Effects is not backward compatible.

After opening a template, the app tells me that I'm missing some plugins, why?

These "plugins" are actually modules which come as "packs" with different versions of Maxon's software - Cinema 4D Prime, Broadcast, Visualize and Studio. The ones we use most commonly are MoGraph, Advanced Renderer, MOCCA but others as well so please check a template's Description tab to make sure that you own them.

Which version of Cinema 4D do I need to be able to run your templates?

At this point all of our C4D templates have been created in Cinema 4D R11.5 Studio. They are often based on modules such as MoGraph, Advanced Renderer, etc. (see project's Description tab for a list of used modules). Make sure that you have them installed before purchasing.

How do I replace your default text and "Drop Zone" images with my own footage?

Texts can be changed via Attribute Manager after selecting the object you intend to change (Text or MoGraph Text objects). Sometimes we include an additional Null object (called "Editable") which gathers all texts' settings in one place - its User Data tab.

To add your own videos/photos simply edit the desired "Drop Zone's" materials, the bitmaps you need to replace are usually located in their Color and Luminance channels.

How do I install your Cinema 4D templates?

Cinema 4D templates don't need to be installed anywhere. Just double-click on the *.c4d project file or use Cinema 4D's File -> Open menu.

mPlugs

I'm trying to register my plugin but it says that the entered information is invalid! What's going on??

Please make sure that you're using correct credentials - if you can log into your MotionVFX account then you should be able to register your plugin using exactly the same login and password.

Often the problem is that you're typing in your e-mail instead of the actual login. If you can't remember what it was, simply use the "Forgot your password?" page as its automatically generated e-mail contains not only a link that allows you to reset your password but your login as well (it will be written in bold letters, right after "This is an automatic motionVFX password recovery system for login:").

Which Drop Zones are which in the included project?

After installing mSpy, it doesn't show up in either Motion 5 or Final Cut Pro X, is there a way to fix this?

Please go to your Movies/Motion Templates/ directory and see if either of the Generator/Title/Transition catalogs contain an "mSpy" folder (they are created during the installation):

http://www.motionvfx.com/tutorials/blog/faq/Motion Templates.png

If they are not there (or are empty), please do the following:
    1. Right-click on your Motion Templates folder and select "Get Info",
    2. Scroll down and unfold the "Sharing & Permissions" group,
    3. Check if the "Read & Write" privileges are applied to the group "everyone". If not, correct it, if yes, leave them this way,
    4. Click on the little cogwheel icon below and select "Apply to enclosed items..."

http://www.motionvfx.com/tutorials/blog/faq/Motion Templates_Permissions.png

You could also verify and repair disk permissions using the Disk Utility app located in the Applications -> Utilities folder (click on the startup volume and both "Verify Disk Permissions" as well as "Repair Disk Permissions" will become available). After the permissions are repaired, select the whole disk (otherwise the "Repair Disk" won't be available as it is your startup volume and therefore can't be unmounted), click Verify Disk (to see what potentially needs to be fixed) and "Repair Disk" after that.

Once you're done, please try installing mSpy once again.

How can I use multiple mSpy elements in Motion 5?

A while ago Apple has added an option to open multiple projects at the same time. This way you can work with your project, open up the element you need and copy its content to your main comp. You can also render them out (for example to ProRes444 with an embedded Alpha channel) and use them as simple stock footage. Both solutions should work fine in most cases.

How to use mSpy in FCPX and Motion 5?

After successfully installing mSpy, you should be able to see its projects in Final Cut's Effect/Title/Generator Browsers. Simply drag one onto your Timeline (or, when it comes to effects, above one of your clips) and go to the inspector. You'll see a whole list of settings which will allow you to set it up the way you want:

http://www.motionvfx.com/tutorials/blog/faq/mSpy_Editable_Parameters.png

Motion users can access all mSpy elements via Project Browser:

Why do I have to save and re-open my project every time I switch between mFlare's specific tracking methods?

Due to several major changes in the Motion 5.1 update, we are no longer able to switch between different rendering methods on the plug-in level. Our 3D light tracking (Lights in Group) algorithm requires such action so to make it work (or to switch back to the other tracking methods), you need to save your project and re-open it in Motion. Once it gets loaded, the rendering method is set properly and you can continue with your work.
We are aware that this may be confusing or even annoying at times but we're doing our best to convince Apple to bring this functionality back to its original form.

mFlare doesn't show up in Motion's Library Browser/Final Cut's Effect Browser. Re-installing doesn't help, what's wrong?

Please check your /Library/Plug-Ins/ directory for folders that have a red "one way" icon. If you can see one (or more) then you'll need to change their permissions to Read&Write. You may also have to do this if the /Library/Plug-Ins/FxPlug/motionVFXmFlare.fxplug/Contents/MacOS/ path doesn't exist:

http://www.motionvfx.com/tutorials/blog/faq/Motion_Prefs.png

To do that simply right-click on them, go to Get Info and at the bottom of the newly opened window ("Sharing & Permissions" section) change the Privileges' settings to Read&Write for all users. Be sure to also click on the little cogwheel icon below that and hit "Apply to enclosed items...".

http://www.motionvfx.com/tutorials/blog/faq/Motion_Prefs.png

After that reinstall mFlare and check it out in your host app.

When using mFlare in Final Cut Pro 7, the quality is awful (banding etc). What am I doing wrong?

Be sure to check your sequence settings as improper values can affect mFlare's render quality. The most important ones are located inside the "Video Processing" tab - 8-bit YUV mode works well in most cases but you may have to experiment with other ones as well in order to achieve a satisfying result.

mFlare is always rendered on a black background, is there a way to export it with Alpha Channel?

Yes, we have added this option a while ago. Simply select your mFlare generator, go to Inspector -> Generator tab, unfold the Advanced group and check the "Generate Alpha" checkbox.

I bought a new computer and would like to transfer my license, how am I supposed to do that?

You can reset your license by running the mFlare Uninstaller from your Applications folder while connected to the Internet. It will automatically remove the plugin and reset your current license for further use on the new system.

How to use mFlare in Motion4/Motion5/FCP7/FCPX/Photoshop/Pixelmator?

Everything you need to know about mFlare can be found on our mTuts page. As a matter of fact it has a totally separate section so you can find the desired tutorial in a matter of seconds.

mFlare says "this copy is illegal" but I did pay for it, help!

This message shows up if you try registering your copy of mFlare using an account which wasn't used to purchase it. This usually happens to clients who own more than one account and type in the incorrect login/password which causes the plugin to respond accordingly. Please make sure that you're using the right credentials and everything will be OK.

I can't register mFlare, it says that there are no licenses available, can you fix this?

By purchasing one copy of mFlare, you get two licenses, which allow you to install it on two different computers at a time. Think of them as "points", which you can distribute by installing the plugin on your system. During the registration process (after the plugin is successfully installed) the software connects to our database and one point gets deducted from your account. If you don't have any left, the installer will let you know. You can reset your points by running the mFlare Uninstaller from the Applications folder while connected to the Internet. It will automatically reset your license for further use on another machine.

Is there a way to slow the scratches/burn effects?

To retime mVintage's burns/scratches you'll need to:

  1. Create a simple black 1920x1080 image in Photoshop or some other app and place it over your footage (you can also use a simple solid generator).
  2. Drop it inside a Compound Clip.
  3. Drop the Compound Clip into another one.
  4. Apply mVintage to the "deeper" Compound Clip and set up your burn effect.
  5. Retime the "top/global" Compound Clip using frame blending (optical flow won't work well).

Here's a quick sample video of how it would look like:

Can I use mLeaks, mDusts, mSmokes and your other footage-based packs in my editing/composition application?

They are sets of .mov files, which you can put on top of your own footage in the editing/compositing app of your choice. Just make sure that it supports Blend/Composite Modes and you're good to go.

Do I need to copy/install mLeaks, mDusts, mSmokes and your other footage-based packs to some specific location?

They are sets of .mov files and therefore don't have any project files so you don't need to install them anywhere. Just import them to your project (FCPX users tend to create a separate Event just for them, this way they are accessible at all times), drop one over your footage, change its blending mode if needed, adjust its opacity and voila! Additionally, all mSmokes have been pre-keyed so compositing them with your footage has never been easier.

After installing, mBurns don't show up in either Motion 5 or FCPX or are displayed with a red checkerboard across the screen, can I fix this?

Please go to your Movies/Motion Templates/ directory and see if either of the Effect/Transition catalogs contain an "mBurns" folder (they are created during the installation). All of them should contain a Media folder with an mBurn mp4 file.

http://www.motionvfx.com/tutorials/blog/faq/mBurns.png

If they are not there (or are empty), please do the following:
    1. Right-click on your Motion Templates folder and select "Get Info",
    2. Scroll down and unfold the "Sharing & Permissions" group,
    3. Check if the "Read & Write" privileges are applied to the group "everyone". If not, correct it, if yes, leave them this way,
    4. Click on the little cogwheel icon below and select "Apply to enclosed items..."

Once you're done, please try installing mBurns once again.

mBurns used to be ProRes 422 MOV's, why did you change them to H264?

Even though ProRes introduces higher quality images, it tends to lose detail in gradients, which are in fact the core of mBurns. With that in mind, we've taken a different approach, which allowed us to reduce the banding artifacts as well as use the H264 codec which offers high quality results along with small file sizes. This way you get a higher quality product at lower downloading times.

Can I use mBurns in my editing/compositing app?

With mBurns, we've intentionally moved their mp4 files to a separate folder so that they can be used in whichever app you want, including FCP7, Premiere Pro, After Effects and more.

Media (mp4's) for the transitions are packed inside the pkg file but if you're a Mac user, there's something you can do. The installer needs the Movies/Motion Templates.localized/Transitions.localized folders to exist to complete the installation so if you create them manually (assuming you don't have FCPX installed), it will put them there without a problem. After that just copy the mov files (every transition has one) to the desired location and you're done.

Note that the transitions and effects (.moef and .motr files) were made in Motion 5 so they are only FCPX-compatible, the process described above only lets you extract the mp4's, which you can then import to an editing/compositing app of your choice and create your own transitions.

I would like to replace your default logo with my own, which image format am I supposed to use?

In general, any format that is supported by Motion and FCPX will work. We recommend using PNG files as they can contain Alpha Channel as well as provide a high quality image. For more info on customizing mLogo, feel free to check the following tutorial:

Can I use mLooks in Motion 5?

In general, mLooks are meant to be used within Final Cut Pro X due to its easy drag-and-drop workflow for using Motion 5 Effect projects. Of course you can also open and edit them in Motion 5, but remember that you're in fact editing their source projects, not applying them via Motion's Library.

To open a specific mLooks effect in Motion, launch the app from your Applications folder and, once the Project Browser shows up, search for the desired mLooks group inside the Final Cut Effects section.

After that double-click on the preset you wish to use and Motion will open it up. At this point you can treat it as a regular Motion template - you can drag your own clip directly onto the source Drop Zone (this time called "Effect Source") and all parameters can be found by selecting the Project layer and going to Inspector -> Project -> Publishing. You can also tweak its elements directly inside the Inspector after selecting individual layers or filters via Layers Browser.

Note that if the effect's Timeline is longer/shorter than your clip, you can change its duration within the Project settings (CMD+J). Of course all layers and effects match the original Timeline so after increasing the project's duration, you'll need to adjust their length as well. This can usually be done by going to the end of the Timeline ("End" button), selecting all of the scene elements (CMD+A) and pressing "O" - all of their Out points will be set at this time.

How do I install mLooks in Blackmagic DaVinci Resolve?

All you need to do is import the provided presets (stills) by going to the Color tab, clicking on the "Still pages" button, selecting the PowerGrade folder, right-clicking on the empty space and selecting "Import". Afterwards, you can apply them to your footage by right-clicking on the desired still and choosing Add Correction.

http://www.motionvfx.com/tutorials/blog/faq/mLooks_DaVinci.png

How do I install mLooks in Premiere Pro?

The Mac version has its own installer so all you need to do is run it on your system and everything will be done automatically.

To install mLooks for Adobe Premiere Pro CS5.5 on a Windows workstation please follow these steps:

  1. Unzip the "mLooks_for_Adobe_Premiere_Pro_CS5.5.zip" file.
  2. Copy everything from the Presets folder to your Premiere's Effect Presets folder (for example C:Program FilesAdobeAdobe Premiere Pro CS5.5Plug-insen_USEffect Presets).
  3. Copy the whole "Preset Elements" folder to your desired destination (it contains additional projects and media elements that are supposed to be imported when using certain presets).

After that they should be available inside Premiere's Effects & Presets browser.

Are mLooks compatible with Final Cut Pro 7?

mLooks were originally designed to work with FCPX/Motion5. After a while we've ported them to Premiere Pro and DaVinci Resolve. We have considered recreating them for FCP7 but because of the fact that the older Final Cut is so resolution and frame rate dependent, it would take an enormous amount of time so right now we have no plans of doing it. Will it ever come out? No way to tell.
