According to Patently Apple, the Cupertino company is working on a teleprompter for iMovie and Final Cut Pro X! A recent patent application from Apple reveals that this is the case. It also seems that the company plans to offer the possibility to send the text to other devices - for example an iPad.

Patently Apple believes, that sometime in the future we'll be able to film ourselves while reading our very own script like the pros:
"This is Apple's second patent relating to future iReporter tools for iOS devices. Is it a trend? Well, last March, KBTV anchor-reporter Mike McNeill was the first person to shoot a news segment using the iPad 2 and Apple may want to tap into this new trend relating to Street Reporting. While this type of reporting won't be mainstream anytime soon, it surely has its place in impromptu situations or for informal video casts. This is Patently Apple reporting live for J-A-C-K news."
Let's hope that Apple will try to implement this new feature asap - a teleprompter could be very useful. According to the website, the scrolling rate could be set to a natural speech rate determined for a particular reader. Of course manual scrolling will also be available.
