Here's an amazing short movie which is a personal project by director Tom Jenkins. It tells the story of a lonely desk toy which dreams to escape from the dark confines of the office. This is why the toy takes a cross country road trip to the Pacific Coast in the only way he can – using a toy car and... Google Maps Street View. The movie was created using a Canon 5D Mk II, Dragonframe Stop Motion software, a customised slider and of course Google Street View. The result is absolutely great!
Tom Jenkins did all the work on his own - he produced, animated, filmed, lit, edited and graded the movie personally. Also all screen imagery was animated and there are no screen replacements. The music has been composed by the Cinematic Orchestra (more info: cinematicorchestra.com).
