If you are an iOS developer, you will be pleased to know, that you will be able to earn more thanks to iAds! Apple decided to raise the revenue share to 70 percent. The new revenue share will go into effect automatically on April 1 for all developers in the iAd Network which is a significant revenue stream for developers and a powerful way for brands to reach millions of iOS users.

Here is what Apple writes about this system:

"Ad is the best way to generate revenue from your apps when compared to other mobile advertising platforms. Hundreds of iOS developers are already making more than $50,000 per quarter serving iAd rich media ads.

iAd is also easy to implement. Since it’s built into iOS, you don’t have to worry about integrating another SDK. Just decide where you want ads to appear in your app and with a minimal amount of code your app is ready to serve iAd rich media ads — Apple does the rest. We sell the ads and serve them to your app while you collect 60 percent of the advertising revenue generated. And starting April 1, 2012, we're raising the revenue share to 70 percent."
