We just found out, thet Canon's Hollywood Professional Technology and Support Center is now fully operational - we wrote about the Center in October 2011 here. The place is offering comprehensive product repair and support services for Canon’s professional products and it is the first Canon's facility of this type in the United States. It has precision equipment, staff and expertise to repair all Canon professional lens types, including the company’s EF series photography lenses, brand new EF Cinema lenses, and broadcast and studio lenses. It also offers full repair services for Canon’s extensive lineup of cameras, including the new Cinema EOS C300 camera, XF/XA Series high definition camcorders, and professional-grade EOS DSLR.

“This is an amazing time for Canon, as just a few weeks ago we started shipping the new Cinema EOS C300 cameras and EF Cinema lenses. As we enter these new and exciting markets, we are proud to offer Canon’s convenient, timely and high quality service and support to professionals working in and around Hollywood,” said Yuichi Ishizuka, executive vice president and general manager, Imaging Technologies and Communications Group, Canon U.S.A.

On-site repair operations include two camera body and lens adjustment rooms, Canon’s most advanced adjustment and calibration equipment, local spare parts inventory, and an experienced repair staff that will return Canon’s professional products to their original factory condition and operation.

Just to remind you, the facility is located on the historic Sunset Gower Studios lot at 6060 Sunset Boulevard in Los Angeles. The facility also acts as a base for Canon’s regional operations and provides training and support to industry partners. The new facility and staff also offer hands-on Canon Live Learning seminars to current and potential clients. To learn more about these educational offerings make sure to follow this link.
