Matthew Allard posted today a video interview with Kadir from Edelkrone who talks about their very innovative slider, the SliderPLUS+. The slider is very compact and the 2ft. version can be easily fit in your backpack (a 3ft version is also available). Matthew reports that the system consists of a sliding carriage and sliding pair of rods, which effectively doubles your sliding range. Another interesting feature is that the SliderPlus+ moves as a whole, so as result more mass travels when you operate the slider. According to the company, this gives smoother and very natural starts and stops compared to the regular slider designs. In the video Kadir also demonstrates the Edelkrone Target Module, which can track a point/subject in a frame which was previously specified with a number of parameters.

The 2ft version costs $499.99 and the 3ft version (SliderPLUSXL) is priced at $699.99. Both SliderPLUS+ and SliderPLUSXL have a port on their side to attach a motorized motion control unit. Both versions also work on the ground - SliderPLUS+ delivers 1 ft. travel on the ground and SliderPLUSXL delivers 1.5 ft. If you want to get one, head over to the Edelkrone's Store (here).
