Louis Szekely, better known as Louis C.K., is a popular stand-up comedian, but also a television and film writer, actor, producer, and director. Louis CK released a self-promoted video (which costs $5) which got a lot of buzz on the web. What's interesting though is that Louis CK edited it on his own - and that he does editing in Final Cut Pro. Louis confirmed it on RedEdit forums in an exclusive interview.

"I love editing. I have used Avid in the past but I exclusively use Final Cut Pro now, though I am concerned about the future... You always have to put three dots after the future... Editing is part of the process. It's how you form everything. In some ways not editing yourself would be like a sculptor dropping some clay off at a guys house and saying "Make a naked lady chasing a bull. and do it nice"."

He also expressed his thoughts on the new Final Cut Pro X. He thinks that Apple has done the same thing before, that is release a version which they feel has a better workflow with less features and then follow it up with the full featured version:

"This is what happened with iMovie. (...) One could argue that they should have held back the release until it was feature complete, but maybe they just wanted to get it out there. I think they probably should have called in Finial Cut Express, then next year with the new features added, switched the name to Finial Cut Pro. That probably would have made people less pissed off. But if they just didn't release it, people would be in the same place they are now, but at least now they can see what Apple has been working on."

Just wanted to note he didn't do an interview on any RedEdit forum. It was Reddit, which isn't a post production website, he just happened to answer this question about his process.

This is a really embarrassing article. Louis CK didn't even say the second quote, someone else on Reddit did. How do you not know what Reddit is? You called it the "RedEdit forums".
