Apple Silicon opens the door to a whole new world of possibilities and we are working hard
to make sure you take full advantage of this exciting new technology. With M1, Apple has
also updated Final Cut Pro and Motion’s API (Application Programming Interface), the core
part on which all plugins are built.
Change can be good. Since the previous plugin API is no longer supported,
some of our most complex plugins, which took months to create, now need to be completely rewritten.
However, their new versions will be optimized and run much faster.
We always strive to bring you the best. Since late 2020,
our coding team does nothing but work on M1 compatibility for existing products.
We ask for your patience and understanding.
We will continue to roll out updates for free (as we did for almost 200 plugins already). Certain products might be released not only as updates (M1 compatibility), but also upgrades (improved performance, added functionalities).
It’ll be worth the wait. In the meantime, the legacy Intel-only versions of the plugins are still available. You can use them on your Apple Silicon device via
