How do I use DesignStudio?
To start using DesignStudio, download and install mExtension, the new app that enables you to browse, download, and apply elements directly to your timeline without leaving FCP. In the installation process, you will be asked if you want to install the mCaptionsAI plugin (we highly recommend it!) and to activate the device you are currently working on. Voila! Now, you can easily download and drag-and-drop elements to your timeline.
DesignStudio Free is a collection available for all users who download and install mExtension. Enjoy a versatile collection of overlays, effects, transitions, typography, add‑ons, and more, from minimal and subtle to distinct, pop culture‑inspired designs. It is not time-limited and stays with you forever!
DesignStudio Trial includes following:
  • mCaptionsAI — AI‑Powered Subtitle Generator for Final Cut Pro, that generates captions in over 90 languages and 76 styles.
  • 500 elements of your choice from our massive 7,200 element library. If you start a DS Professional or Ultimate trial, you will get access to a tracker for selected elements.
It is available for 14 days for free. If you do not cancel, we will process the entire payment for your subscription, and you will get access to the complete library.
You must stop one of your subscriptions — CineStudio or DesignStudio — and once it effectively stops, you can upgrade the remaining one to Cine&DesignStudio.
mCaptionsAI is a DesignStudio exclusive product available under ANY DesignStudio plan, starting from Essential. We do have a free two-week trial to try it out, which you can cancel at any point!
What you have is here to stay! The released perpetual license products will continue to be supported.
You can use 2 devices in accordance with our Terms & Conditions.
The daily limit on downloads in all plans is 500 elements. Transferring downloaded elements between devices does not use up that limit.
As of now, you can only obtain one DesignStudio license — as stand-alone, part of combined plans or the Ultimate. If you want more than one license, you need to purchase it with another account.
No, elements from DesignStudio can only be used in Final Cut Pro.
Sure thing! Go to My Subscriptions in your account or inside mExtension and click Upgrade plan. You will see the calculation of the credit you get from the unused days from your current plan and how much you will have to pay to move to the target plan. Your new chosen plan or billing cycle starts as soon as we collect the payment. Important notice — we do not process downgrades.
You can access all information and make changes in My Subscriptions in your account or in mExtension. There, you can cancel your trial, stop and renew a subscription, and apply all changes (plan upgrade, change of billing cycle).
We will notify you via email the day before your trial ends so that you can make a conscious decision about whether you want to stay with us. If you don’t cancel, you will automatically enroll in a full subscription, and your chosen payment method will be charged with the price of the plan you subscribed for.
There are two consequences: (1) you immediately lose access to the products included in the trial, and (2) we will not charge your payment method with the subscription fee. You can always come back by purchasing a subscription in the future.
No worries, we’ve got you covered! Go to My Subscriptions in your account or in mExtension and use the Renew button. Once we collect the payment, you are good to go. All the products you downloaded are there, waiting for you to jump back to your projects.
If you stop the subscription, you will keep access to the subscription products until the end of the current billing cycle, and the next payment will not be collected. If you change your mind, you can always click Renew on the subscription — the payment will be then processed according to the schedule (if the subscription has not yet expired) or immediately (if the subscription has expired). You will regain access to the products as soon as we process the transaction.
No, mCredits can be used only for perpetual purchases.
Yes, we will ask for your payment method before launching the trial. But don’t worry — we will remind you the day before processing the payment for a full subscription so that you can easily cancel if that’s not what you want.
No, we give a free 14-day trial so that you can check if our subscription meets your expectations and make an informed decision. After subscribing, you can stop the subscription so we will not process the payment for the next billing period. You’ll be able to use your subscription tools up until then.
Yes, your plan will automatically renew until you stop the subscription.

Your invoices can be found in Invoices in your account.
We are asking you for authorization of $1 to check the validity of your card. This amount will be returned to you immediately afterward.
No, promo price is always valid only for the first period and will renew.
